Lettuce Seeds

Ideal for novices since it can be seeded straight in the soil as soon as the ground is workable. Lettuce growing time: The growth season varies per lettuce type, although most mature in 30 to 70 days.

Spring and October are the optimum seasons for cultivating lettuce. Temperatures between 45°F and 80°F are ideal.

Lettuce has a high germination rate and planting between 2-3 lettuce seeds per cell or hole would be the best option.

Seeds should sprout in 7-15 days, depending on conditions.

Watering: Keep it light and consistent for the first 2 weeks after planting. After 2 weeks, reduce to twice a week or every 4 or 5 days depending on the temperature and shade level.

Soil: Does well in nutrient rich soil.

To keep your lettuce healthy, inspect for Aphids, they are tiny white pests that's hide on the underside of the leave. The best natural way to repel them, use lady beetles, or apply horticulture soap or neem oil.
