The Coeur de Bœuf tree (Annona reticulata), or bullock's heart, is a fruit-bearing tree found in Mauritius, often called cachiman locally. It produces large, heart-shaped fruit with yellow-brown skin and sweet white flesh.
Thrives in warm, humid areas but is becoming rarer in Mauritian gardens,
It needs full sun and well drain soil.
Typically begins to bear fruit within 2 to 4 years after planting.
